What is the educational program?
The educational program consists of a series of lectures, workshops, and practical tasks before the ideathon. It is designed to strengthen teams during the Hatathon in:
- market research and hypothesis validation;
- developing a robust project strategy;
- packaging ideas into competitive pitches.
What is required to participate?
Register yourself and ensure that each member of your team does the same. You will receive a confirmation email immediately after registration (please check your spam folder). Join the Slack workspace via the link in the email, review the Participant Guidelines, and get ready for an intensive week of work during the Hatathon.
I don’t have a team. What should I do?
No worries! Individual participation is allowed. If you wish to form a team, that’s also possible. Your ideas and experience are valuable. Simply register, join Slack, and post in the designated channel about your skills and ideas. This way, you can connect with other participants and form a collaborative project.
What do I need to do during the Hatathon week?
Develop a new project or select an existing project you authored (or obtain permission from the original creator to use it). Ensure that it aligns with the Hatathon theme and fits into one of the categories. Find a team or participate individually. Attend the educational program (optional). Complete all checkpoints, finalize your project, and submit it for evaluation. If your project reaches the final, prepare to present it to the jury.
How do I register?

How will the projects be evaluated?
Projects submitted to the Hatathon will be assessed by the jury based on the following criteria:

Do I already have an idea or project—can I participate?
Yes, you can join at the idea stage, but during the Hatathon you will need to show progress and further develop your project.
How many people should be in a team?
The optimal team size is 2 to 5 participants. Individual participation is also allowed.
Can I work on multiple projects across different categories?
Yes, this option is allowed. However, we strongly recommend assessing your capacity realistically, as the Hatathon involves an intensive format of interaction and collaboration. It’s better to focus on one project and do it well.
Where can I read the Hatathon rules and guidelines? How do I join Slack?
After registering, each participant will receive an email containing all the necessary materials: the Participant guidelines and access to the Slack community. Please also check your spam folder.

During the Hatathon, an active link to the Participant guidelines will be pinned in the Slack community messages for easy reference.

The main working language of the Hatathon is Ukrainian. Official sessions as well as educational lectures and workshops will also be streamed in Ukrainian.
