Who can participate?

We welcome artists, directors, musicians, curators, cultural programme managers, cultural and creative sector professionals, creative industry entrepreneurs, IT specialists, marketers, and anyone eager to contribute their creativity or technical expertise to preserving Ukraine's cultural heritage.

Where will it take place?

Hatathon 5.0: Heritage. Strength. Innovations will be held online. The opening and finals will be streamed on Facebook and YouTube in Ukrainian. Detailed instructions are provided in the Participant Guidelines, available upon registration.

What is the Slack platform?

Slack is a virtual platform for communication and collaboration. You can download the application from the provided link. After confirming your registration, you will receive an email with a link to join the Slack workspace.

What is the educational part?

The educational part includes a training programme with theoretical lectures and practical workshops from Ukrainian and international experts. It is designed for both beginners and experienced tech enthusiasts in the cultural and creative sectors, introducing trends and tools for the digitisation of Ukraine's cultural heritage.

What is required to participate?

Register and ensure each team member does the same. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email (check your spam folder). Join Slack using the link in the email, read the Participant Guidelines, and prepare for intensive work during Hatathon.

I don't have a team, what should I do?

No worries! Individual participation is allowed. If you prefer to join a team, you can do so after registration. Use Slack to share your skills and ideas in the relevant channels and connect with other participants to form a team.

What should be done in six days of Hatathon?

Develop a new project idea or refine an existing one that fits the Hatathon theme and categories. Work individually or as part of a team, pass all checkpoints, complete the project, and submit it for evaluation. If your project reaches the final, prepare to present it to the jury.

How to register?

Simply fill out the registration form on the website, and you're in.

How will the projects be evaluated?

Evaluation will occur in two stages: semi-final and final. Judges will conduct technical validations and assess projects based on the following criteria:
Team – expertise, proactivity, motivation, and mentor feedback.
Impact and scalability – the project's potential to preserve Ukraine's cultural heritage and its scalability.
Progress – achievements during Hatathon and plans for the acceleration programme.
Project potential – viability post-Hatathon.

How many people should be in a team?

Teams can consist of 1 to 5 people. Individual participation is allowed.

Can we work on multiple projects in different categories?
